Zahra Ahmed

  • Medical School: New York Medical College.
  • Hobbies/Fun Facts: I did my undergraduate thesis on the communication patterns of zebras so I have a plethora of random animal facts to share!
  • Why SUNY/Kings County: the volume, the community and the amazing residents!
James Choi
  • Hometown: Queens, NY
  • Medical School: Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons
  • Hobbies/fun facts: I'm a Korean dude that can't handle spicy food. I like to play basketball, volleyball, board games (especially Catan!). 
  • Why SUNY: I loved the mission of the hospital to be the safety net of its community, and serve those that need it most. I also wanted to come to a place that would really challenge me, and teach me how to be an amazing clinician!
Youngwoo Park

  • Medical School: Des Moines University
  • Hobbies: Fishing, beer, video games
  • Fun Facts: I delivered my son an hour before the start of my third year obgyn rotation. Pretty gnarly.
  • Why SUNY/Kings County: I wanted to see what I was made of! I believe that the daily doses of rubbing shoulders with the clinical and socioeconomic challenges of this community will be an invaluable experience for me as a physician and as a fellow meatbag trying to make it through life.
Victoria Zaccone

  • Medical School: St. George’s University, Grenada  
  • Hobbies/Fun Facts: Swimming, snowboarding, surfing, caring for my many plants and hanging out with my scarlet macaw, Rudy 
  • Why SUNY/Kings County: Why not! The best EM training in the best city; supportive, well-seasoned faculty that produce leaders in the field, and super warm and welcoming residents 🙂
