Hobbies/Fun Facts: Languages- I know Czech and German and will probably try to learn Kreyole while I'm here. Also really into dancing, esp Bachata, Salsa, and Swing. Fun fact, I won the 2001 Kuwait Figure Skating Championship for my age group... ((there were only 2 of us)).

Why SUNY/Kings County: I wanted a place where I would be expected to know and do almost everything. There's going to be a steep learning curve and I'm going to feel bad, but when I graduate, I will be unflappable.

Why SUNY/Kings: I grew up in the neighborhood surrounding the hospital and have a lot of strong family ties in the community. The training is tough in all the right ways, the people are my people, and NYC is incredible.

Gabrielle Fonteneaux

Hobbies/Fun Facts: I enjoy dogs, travel, hiking, biking, and wasting my money on food and drink

Why SUNY/King’s: I felt at home on my interview day! Everyone I met, from leadership to the residents, were super down-to-earth and made me feel welcome. I could tell that if I chose to come here, I would get solid training in a positive environment. I was also drawn to the amount of diversity within the program and department.

Andrea Greene

Hobbies/Fun Facts: My hobbies include: bringing my dog and/or baby to bars, running, exploring new neighborhoods, eating everything, novice gardening, hiking and skiing in Vermont, visiting family in Singapore, cooking and reading cookbooks, procrastination and karaoke.

Why SUNY/Kings: The EM department is extraordinarily diverse, both ethnically and in terms of life experience. We all work hard and play hard and feel incredibly fortunate to serve our patients at KCHC/UHB. People who love this program tend to be doers who are up for anything and intellectually curious, but still humble and grateful to serve our patients and our community.

To be a badass doctor at an excellent program. The program has a culture of service that's interwoven into its. You'll work hard but everyone has the same passion and desire to go out of their way to do what ever it takes to help their patients.

Hobbies/Fun Facts: I run until it's unhealthy, I just got a new wife ("new" in terms of recency, not quantity), I'm trying to make quarter-formal dress code a thing, UC Irvine Anteater alum (Zot! Zot!)
