Treatment:
P falciparum: quinine sulfate + doxycycline or clindamycin or pyrimethamine-sulfadoxine;
alternative: artemether-lumefantrine, atovaquone-proguanil, or mefloquine
P vivax, P ovale: Chloroquine plus primaquine (due to liver phase)
P malariae: Chloroquine
P knowlesi: same as P falciparum
